Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Dr. Doug's Balms! Thank you for joining our Affiliate Program.

These Terms and Conditions apply to everyone taking part in the Program: Dr. Doug's Balms ("we," "us," or "merchant") and each affiliate ("you" or "affiliate") who refers customers to our products.

By joining the Program, you agree to follow these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with all of them, please do not register or take part in the Program.

1. Approval of Registration

We may approve or reject any Affiliate Program registration at our sole discretion. You will have no legal claim against us if your registration is rejected.

2. Affiliate Links and Coupon Codes

Your affiliate link is created automatically. You can also create links to a specific product or collection. If a customer clicks another affiliate's link and later clicks yours, your link gets the credit.

You may or may not be assigned a coupon code. Any code and its details will be shown on your Dashboard. If a customer clicks your link and also uses your code, you will earn one commission, not two. If you have not been assigned a branded coupon code, you may not promote a coupon.

You may share our website on social media (such as Facebook and Instagram), and in offline ads, magazines, and newspapers, subject to Section 5 (Brand Name and Paid Search).

3. Commissions and Payment

When a customer you refer makes a purchase on our website, you earn a commission based on the commission structure for your program. Commission is calculated on the order value only and does not include tax, shipping, or other fees.

To be paid, you must add your payment details in Settings. The payment schedule is listed on the Affiliate Guide page.

Commission is paid only on orders that are successfully completed. Orders that are refunded or charged back will not be paid. We have the right to review every referral order under our fair use policy. You can see the status of your commissions in the Commission tab and all paid commissions in the Payment tab.

Before we can pay any commission, you must give us a completed tax form: a Form W-9 if you are a U.S. person, or a Form W-8BEN if you are not. Commission will be held until we receive it.

4. Marketing Materials

We may share banners, logos, and promotional images with you in the Marketing tools tab. You may download them or use the embed code to share them on your channels.

5. Brand Name and Paid Search

(1) Do not bid on or target "Dr. Doug's," "Dr Dougs," "Doctor Doug's," "drdougs.com," our product names, or any misspelling or variation of them as keywords on Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, or any other paid search or shopping platform.

(2) Do not use our brand name or domain in ad headlines, ad text, or display URLs, and do not point paid search ads at drdougs.com through your affiliate link.

(3) Only state prices, discounts, shipping terms, return terms, guarantees, and product benefits exactly as they appear on drdougs.com.

(4) Commission on any order that came from traffic breaking these rules will be denied, and we may remove the affiliate from the Program without notice.

6. Network

If the Network tab is turned on, you can invite others to join as your downline affiliates. When a downline affiliate brings in an order, you may also earn a network commission, based on our settings.

To invite someone, share your network link. Anyone who clicks it and signs up becomes your downline affiliate.

7. Cookies

We use a cookie to track customers who click your link, so customers must allow cookies for us to track them. If a customer blocks or clears cookies, we cannot track their activity and cannot pay commission on it.

The number of cookie days is shown on the Affiliate registration form. Tracking starts when a customer clicks your link or uses your coupon code. During the cookie period, every order that customer places on our website earns you a commission, even if they do not click your link again.

8. Leaving or Removal from the Program

If you would like to leave the Program, email natalie@drdougs.com.

We may suspend or remove any affiliate at any time, at our sole discretion, including for breaking these Terms and Conditions. Commission on orders that break these Terms and Conditions will be denied.
