Hollywood DJ Affiliate Program Terms

Thanks for your interest in the Hollywood DJ Affiliate Program. These terms apply to everyone who joins the program ("you") and to Hollywood DJ ("we" or "us"). By registering, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not register.

1. Approval
We review every application by hand and may approve or decline any application at our sole discretion. We look for DJs, producers, educators, reviewers and publishers who make real content for an audience that buys DJ, audio and lighting gear.

2. Your link and code
You get a personal affiliate link, and you can make links to any product or collection on hollywooddj.com from your dashboard. Some affiliates are also given a personal discount code. If a shopper clicks more than one affiliate link, the most recent click gets the credit. A shopper who uses both your link and your code on one order earns you one commission, not two. Only promote a code that was assigned to you.

3. Where you can promote
Allowed: your own website or blog, YouTube channel, social media accounts, podcast, email list, live streams, and in person.
Not allowed:

• Coupon, deal, voucher, cashback, rebate and promo-code sites, and browser extensions or apps that add codes at checkout.
• Paid search ads that bid on "Hollywood DJ", "hollywooddj.com" or any misspelling of them.
• Spam, bulk messages, pop-ups, and pages built to rank for searches like "Hollywood DJ coupon".
• Presenting yourself as Hollywood DJ, or stating prices, discounts or stock that we have not published.
• Advertising a price lower than the price shown on hollywooddj.com, or naming a specific brand or product next to your discount.

4. Zero tolerance for coupon sites
If your link or code appears on any coupon, deal, voucher, cashback or promo-code site, or in a browser extension, for any reason and no matter who posted it, all of your unpaid commissions are forfeited and your account is permanently disqualified from the program. There are no warnings, no appeals and no reinstatements. Share your link and code only with your own audience, and keep your code out of public posts that coupon sites can copy.

5. Commissions
Commission is paid on the order value before tax and shipping, at the rates shown on the registration page and in your dashboard. Gift card purchases do not earn commission. Orders that are cancelled, returned, refunded or charged back do not earn commission, and a commission already approved on such an order is reversed. Orders you place for yourself do not earn commission.

6. Approval and payment
Commissions are approved 45 days after the order, once our 30-day return window has closed. Approved commissions are paid by PayPal or as Hollywood DJ store credit. Add your payment details in your dashboard settings, or we cannot pay you. We may review any referral and decline any commission that breaks these terms.

7. Tracking
We use a 30-day cookie. If a shopper blocks or clears cookies, we may not be able to credit the sale unless they also use your code.

8. Disclosure
Tell your audience, clearly and close to the link, that you earn a commission when they buy through your Hollywood DJ link or code. This is required by FTC rules.

9. Changes and leaving
We may change commission rates or these terms at any time, and changes apply from the date they are posted. You may leave the program at any time by emailing info@hollywooddj.com. We may close any account at any time.

This Privacy Policy of UpPromote about Affiliate Marketing system describes how we may collect and use personal data and the rights granted to merchants, affiliates and customers regarding their respective data.

By joining the Affiliate program, you signify your approval of the terms set out in this Privacy Policy, and other terms and conditions. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, you must not use the affiliate marketing system.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our privacy practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. By continuing to our affiliate program after these changes are posted, you agree to the revised policy.

Personal Information Controller

Any personal information provided to or gathered by UpPromote under this Privacy Notice will be stored and controlled by UpPromote (the data controller).

Information collected from Merchants

When merchant uses the app, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account such as email, first name, last name, shop information (shop domain, shop currency, shop address …). We collect this information to provide you with our Services; for example, to confirm your identity, contact you, provide customer support when you contact us, provide you with advertising and marketing activities.

Information collected from Affiliates

When an Affiliate signs up to join a program, we collect some information to inform merchants such as email, personal information, payment details and social network information,...The information would help merchant evaluate affiliate background and potential, along with process specific activities within the app and contact affiliate if needed.

Information collected from Customers when visiting merchant website

In order to track referral order, when customers visit merchant website and make a purchase, UpPromote system will collect information of order such as total order, order items, order ID,....

About Cookies

“Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier.

Cookies are created when a user's browser loads a particular website. The website sends information to the browser which then creates a text file. Every time the user goes back to the same website, the browser retrieves and sends this file to the website's server.

Information sharing

Ensuring your privacy is important to us. We do not share your personal information with third parties except as described in this privacy policy. We may share your personal information with third-party service providers who we employ to process specific functions; examples include providing email marketing activity, analyzing data and other marketing support,... Third-party service providers have access to personal information only as needed to perform their functions and they must process the personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We may also disclose your personal information to any third party with your prior consent.

Use of UpPromote app by Children

UpPromote is not intended for children. If you are under 13, you may use the affiliate marketing system only with the supervision of your parent or guardian.

Your Rights

UpPromote understands that you have rights over your personal information, and takes reasonable steps to allow you to access, correct, amend, delete, port, or limit the use of your personal information. If you are using the system and wish to exercise these right, please contact us through info@hollywooddj.com. We may require that you provide us with acceptable verification of your identity before providing access to such information.

If you are an affiliate and wish to exercise these rights, please contact the merchant you interacted with directly — we serve as a processor on their behalf, and can only forward your request to them to allow them to respond.
