Terms and Conditions

Thanks for applying to our ambassador program.  

Since we don’t know every one of our ambassadors personally, we’ve created some terms to set everybody’s expectations. When we say “Company”, “we”, “our”, or “us” in this document, we are referring to Woof at the Door. When we say “Services”, we mean any product created and maintained by the Company.

These terms may be updated at any time in the future. We will update you via email. 

Please read this document in its entirety before accepting to become a brand ambassador of Woof at the Door.

Woof at the Door supports the advertising and promotion of its products by selected and respected members of the pet community. This agreement outlines the terms and conditions of your relationship with Woof at the Door.

By applying to become an Ambassador for Woof at the Door, you agree to the following terms:

1. Endorsed Products:

Endorsed products and service that are products sold under Woof at the Door's brand name.

2. Ambassador Requirements:

* That you have an active, public pet instagram account and that you post 2 + times a week.

*You are following us on instagram @woofatthedoor 

*Your are at least 18 years of age and your home base is Canada.

*You take nice, clear, clean edited images or videos that fit our brand's look and feel.

*We love accounts that are already customers and are engaged with us on social media!

Ambassadors are expressly prohibited from sharing their unique discount codes on coupon sites and with friends. Any ambassador whose code is found on a coupon site will immediately be terminated from the program and all store credit will be rescinded. Ambassadors must comply with all all federal, provincial and local regulations, including applicable governing marketing emails and all other anti-spam laws.

As an ambassadors you are expected to create, post and share content that promotes Woof at the Door's products and services. 2 + posts a week are ideal. Points will be accumulated to add to your 10% discount (if you are driving more sales you will benefit) 

Ambassadors who do not meet that requirement are considered inactive and their ambassador account and unique discount code will be deactivated. All posts accumulate reward points to put towards future purchases. 

Ambassadors who do not follow the requirements can be subject to termination, suspension and/or the rescinding of all store credit and discounts.

3. Contract Territory:

You will be a Canadian based Ambassador.

4. Promotion of Endorsed Products:

You agree to use your best efforts to promote the Endorsed Products in a manner consistent with its authorized use and as outlined on product labels. Approved channels for promotion include 1) your own website or blog; 2) emails to friends and family (no spam); and 3) Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.

5. Prohibited Content and Restrictions:

Ambassador agrees that they will not post content on any platform, as determined by Woof at the Door in its sole discretion, that:

  • is pornographic, sexually explicit or suggestive, or contains profanity or nudity;
  • is unnecessarily violent or derogatory of any ethnic, racial, gender, religious, professional or age group;
  • promotes alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, firearms/weapons (or the use of any of the foregoing);
  • promotes any activities that may appear unsafe or dangerous;
  • is obscene or offensive, or endorses any form of hate or hate group;
  • defames, misrepresents or contains disparaging remarks about other people or entities;
  • communicates messages or images inconsistent with the positive images and/or good will with which Woof at the Door wishes to associate.
  • violates any law.
  • Misrepresent or modify the price of a product or service.
  • Run any paid advertising with your promotional codes.
  • You may not use Woof at the Door's brand, image or likeness on your own website, creating customer confusion.
  • Engage in any fraudulent activity that would artificially affect any social media metrics such as, but not limited to, likes, follows, shares, and views. 

  • Create multiple ambassador accounts or use more than one promo code. 


6. Indemnification:

You agree to hold Woof at the Door, its owners and employees harmless for any liability from any injury or damage arising from the use or promotion of any Endorsed Product. 

7. Relationship:

This agreement shall not be construed as creating an employer/employee relationship or an employer/contractor relationship.

8. Confidentiality/Use:

Occasionally we may share information with you that is confidential in nature, such information will be identified as confidential and you are expected to maintain this information in the strictest confidence. Any disclosure of confidential information will terminate this agreement and result in legal action.

9. Intellectual Property:

The ambassador grants Woof at the Door a worldwide, irrevocable, sub-licensable, non-exclusive license to use the content the ambassador creates to promote the Company’s services, in any manner, in whole or in part, in perpetuity. This includes, but is not limited to, social media, social media posts, pictures, images, videos, recordings, tagline, hashtags, posts, commentary, designs,   advertising, publications, marketing material, or any other form of media. 

a. Except where prohibited by law or regulation, Ambassador grants Woof at the Door and its successors, assigns, licensees and designees permission to use Ambassador's name, Social Media Platform account name, photograph (including, but not limited to, Social Media Platform account profile photo), voice and/or other likeness,  in all media now known or hereafter discovered (including, without limitation, on Woof at the Door website and Social Media Platform accounts), worldwide in perpetuity, for any purpose without additional compensation, consideration, notification or consent.  

b. Ambassador is not authorized to use any copyrighted content from any other companies to promote our company's brand. 

Woof at the Door will not be responsible for any disputes involving the unauthorized use of any other company's intellectual property.  

10. Term and Termination:

The term of this agreement is one (1) year from the effective date.  This agreement date is April 21 2021. This agreement will automatically renew at the end of each term for successive one (1) year terms unless either party gives the other written notice of termination at least 30 days prior to the end of the relevant term.  Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may terminate this agreement at any time, with or without cause. 


11. Commission Credit:

As an Ambassador, you earn a standard commission rate of 10% for all Net Sales that you directly drive through your marketing efforts. Net Sales are defined as sales excluding any discounts, shipping, store credit, refunds, or taxes. Commissions are paid in the form of store credit valid for use at www.woofatthedoor.ca

To receive credit for a purchase, the customer must have used your unique discount code during checkout at www.woofatthedoor.ca . You cannot receive commission on your own orders. Any Ambassador found to commit commission fraud will be immediately removed from the Ambassador Program.

We reserve the right to reverse commissions due to returns, order cancellations and erroneous order duplications. We also reserve the right to defer or refuse commissions for disputed orders or orders we reject and cannot fulfill at our sole discretion. 

Store credit will be issued at the end of the month for the previous month. For example, commissions earned in March will be paid out at the end of April. The minimum payout amount each month is $5.

12. Removal:

We reserve the right to remove any Ambassador from our Ambassador Program.

13. Modification:

We may change the terms and conditions of this Agreement in the future. Unless this Agreement or applicable law specifies otherwise, we will give you thirty (30) days prior notice of any significant change to this Agreement. If you find the change unacceptable, you have the right to terminate the Agreement. However, if you continue to receive the benefits of the Agreement after the end of the notice period of the change, you will be considered to have accepted the changes. You may not modify this Agreement by making any typed, handwritten, or any other changes to it for any purpose.

14. Liability Limitations

You expressly agree and understand that the Company shall not be liable to you or any third party for any direct, indirect, consequential or any other damages including, but not limited to, damages for loss of profit, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from the ambassador program. 

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy of UpPromote about Affiliate Marketing system describes how we may collect and use personal data and the rights granted to merchants, affiliates and customers regarding their respective data.

By joining the Affiliate program, you signify your approval of the terms set out in this Privacy Policy, and other terms and conditions. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, you must not use the affiliate marketing system.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our privacy practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. By continuing to our affiliate program after these changes are posted, you agree to the revised policy.

Personal Information Controller

Any personal information provided to or gathered by UpPromote under this Privacy Notice will be stored and controlled by UpPromote (the data controller).

Information collected from Merchants

When merchant uses the app, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account such as email, first name, last name, shop information (shop domain, shop currency, shop address …). We collect this information to provide you with our Services; for example, to confirm your identity, contact you, provide customer support when you contact us, provide you with advertising and marketing activities.

Information collected from Affiliates

When an Affiliate signs up to join a program, we collect some information to inform merchants such as email, personal information, payment details and social network information,...The information would help merchant evaluate affiliate background and potential, along with process specific activities within the app and contact affiliate if needed.

Information collected from Customers when visiting merchant website

In order to track referral order, when customers visit merchant website and make a purchase, UpPromote system will collect information of order such as total order, order items, order ID,....

About Cookies

“Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier.

Cookies are created when a user's browser loads a particular website. The website sends information to the browser which then creates a text file. Every time the user goes back to the same website, the browser retrieves and sends this file to the website's server.

Information sharing

Ensuring your privacy is important to us. We do not share your personal information with third parties except as described in this privacy policy. We may share your personal information with third-party service providers who we employ to process specific functions; examples include providing email marketing activity, analyzing data and other marketing support,... Third-party service providers have access to personal information only as needed to perform their functions and they must process the personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We may also disclose your personal information to any third party with your prior consent.

Use of UpPromote app by Children

UpPromote is not intended for children. If you are under 13, you may use the affiliate marketing system only with the supervision of your parent or guardian.

Your Rights

UpPromote understands that you have rights over your personal information, and takes reasonable steps to allow you to access, correct, amend, delete, port, or limit the use of your personal information. If you are using the system and wish to exercise these right, please contact us through info@woofatthedoor.ca. We may require that you provide us with acceptable verification of your identity before providing access to such information.

If you are an affiliate and wish to exercise these rights, please contact the merchant you interacted with directly — we serve as a processor on their behalf, and can only forward your request to them to allow them to respond.
